DESCRIPTION

Argentinian artist Guillermo Kuitca was born in Buenos Aires in 1961 and continues to live and work there today. Guillermo Kuitca: Everything is the first comprehensive survey of the artist's work in the United States in more than 10 years and accompanies a major travelling exhibition. This fully illustrated catalogue examines the artist's production between 1980 and 2008, including many unpublished paintings and works on paper tracing the artist's continuing development. The book documents the artist's thematic groupings (his series of stage sets, house plans, maps, beds, genealogical charts, architectural floor plans, theatre interiors and airport terminal baggage-claim carousels). In addition, the catalogue addresses his relationship to drawing, a previously unexplored aspect of his work which significantly influenced his approach to painting.
